Shaw Trust

Task : To refurbish new offices for Shaw Trust ~ with the introduction of a new Tea Point facility and bureau de change outlet.

Time Span : Two weeks

Shaw Trust, who are a national charity that provides training and work opportunities for people who are disadvantaged in the labour market due to disability, ill health or other social circumstances. They are also the largest voluntary provider of employment services for disabled people in the UK ~ so we were honoured when they asked us to refurbish their new offices in Norwich.

Relishing any challenge passed our way, we at Hemera knew that this opportunity was going to be one of those exciting occurances that we thrive on.

Planning and undertaking works, whilst also working on other projects, was certainly an interesting iniative, especially with a extremely short deadline ~ but we took it all in our stride.

Works included;

· Lowering the sub-floor level in the Tea Point to facilitate disabled access
· Tea Point and Breakout Area Installation
· Redecoration throughout
· Internal Partitioning
· Flooring
· Creating a Bureau de Change office

All works had to comply with current Disability Access Regulations to ensure a suitable working enviroment for all of their employees and clients.

All works were completed to the clients specification, within budget and on time, allowing Shaw Trust to enter their new premises without any disruption to their business.

Once completed, the landlord of the property requested that we undertake works to widen the existing entrance points to facilitate access and refurbish a small kitchenette into a fully functioning disabled W/C.

Not bad for a few weeks work!
